Itsy Bitsy Ballerinas offers specialised classical ballet tuition for 2 – 5 year olds. New to the timetable in 2014 is Teeny Tiny Tappers, a specially devised tap class for 3 – 5 year olds to teach the basics of tap. Congratulations to Coastal Dance student Paige Duyvestyn for her acceptance into the Brisbane City Youth Ballets 2014 production of the The Snow Queen. Out of the 200 dancers that auditioned Paige was one of the 75 successful female applicants. We look forward to seeing Paige perform next year!

Tickets for our end of year concert ‘Momentum’ will go on sale Saturday the 16th of November from 10:00am. Tickets are $30 for Adults, $25 for Concessions & $15 for Children (cash only). Tickets will be available to purchase from reception on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday afternoons & Saturday mornings. Our end of year production will be held at the Somerset College Performing Arts Complex starting at 6:30pm.

Don’t forget our 2nd annual Halloween Disco is on this Friday 6:00 – 8:00pm!
All students of Coastal Dance & their friends are invited for fun night of dancing, games, prizes, fancy dress parades & food! Entry is $5 & please bring a plate of food to share.

Congratulations to Coastal Dance student Tiani Cashel-Patterson for being selected in the cast of the Brisbane season of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Tiani is of 3 Gold Coast dancers to be selected for this professional production.

Due to a clash with a PBC High School event our Halloween Disco will be changed to Friday the 1st of November from 6:00 – 8:00pm. Flyers will be handed out this week in class!

On September 20th we welcomed Christine Denny to the studio for our first ever Tapatak exams. We had great feedback & the kids thoroughly enjoyed the Tapatak exam experience! We received 4 Supreme Distinctions with 96% & special mentions go to our special award winners:

This Sunday the 22nd of September Coastal Dance will be holding a movie/pizza night at the studio from 5pm. All students, friends & family are welcome to come down to watch the DVD of the recent Gold Coast Eisteddfod & soloists are also invited to bring their performances from Gold Coast.
