Congratulations to our ballet students who sat their Australian Conservatoire of Ballet Exams in Term 2 with examiner Valmai Roberts. Of the six candidates entered two of our students received Distinction with marks between 90 – 100%.

Exams are a great tool of motivation for students giving them a consistent goal to work towards. If your child is interested in sitting a ballet exam in 2019 students are required to take 2 ballet classes a week with our classical extension class also recommended.

The Coastal Dance end of year concert will be held on Tuesday the 4th of December at 6:30pm. The concert will be held at the Nerang Bicentennial Centre. Tickets will go on sale Sunday the 28th of October on trybooking.com

 

It’s with great pride & happiness that we can announce that 2017 graduate Holly Johnston has accepted a contract with the Moulin Rouge, Paris. Holly started her training with Coastal Dance at age 5 & with a lot of hard work & dedication, she blossomed into the most elegant of dancers. We are excited to watch Holly’s career as she steps onto this historic stage.

We have now added an adults jazz class to our weekly timetable on Wednesday nights from 7:00 – 8:00pm. Learn a simple to follow combination each week in a fun & relaxed environment. No previous dance experience required! The one hour class is $15 & pay by the week. See you in the studio soon!

Coastal Dance will be hosting a workshop with the Sydney Dance Company education department. The workshop is on Friday the 27th of July from 5:00 – 7:00pm. Numbers are capped so bookings are essential. To book your space please email info@coastaldance.com.au

Our Term 2 Open House is this Monday the 25th of June – Saturday 30th of June & our #teamcoastal families are invited to watch the technique classes from across our timetable. This is an opportunity to view your child’s progress over the term & see what they have been up to!

Congratulations to our #teamcoastal tap students who sat their annual Tapatak Oz exams yesterday. This was our 6th session of Tapatak Oz exams. Our students received wonderful feedback from examiner & Tapatak Oz creator Christine Denny. Many thanks to Miss Georgia for doing a wonderful job in preparing our students.

 

Each year senior student Jacqueline Owen walks in the Mother’s Day Classic. Our senior students hosted a bake sale on Saturday the 12th of May at the studio & raised $232.45 for breast cancer research.
